What is Amal?
Created in 1983, Cooperative Amal was founded by two skilled Moroccan women who wanted to provide young girls with skills in embroidery and sewing and an opportunity to earn their own income. Today, the cooperative continues to fulfill it's mission with over 15 apprentices learning how to create traditional Moroccan embroidered goods and clothing. Most recently, Amal has evolved to provide their traditional goods as well as more modern products with the Amal flair to international buyers.
